Jacky Silvers is known as a freelance writer, editor, media events coordinator, publisher and contributor to many national and regional angling publications.
She co-starred in a national television fishing show; received the Don Hawley Foundation’s Conservationist of the Year Award; and was named Grand Champion and Release Champion in the Women’s World Invitational Tarpon Fly Championship of Islamorada.
Jacky traded in her fly rod and Florida flats fishing for main and jib and the pristine waters of Virgin Gorda. With her husband, Ed, a seasoned captain, they sailed their Swan “Into the Mystic” through the enchanting Leeward and Windward islands for many years.

Jacky survived four other Catagory 5 hurricanes and is convinced that everyone on Virgin Gorda survived Hurricane Irma in 2017 only through prayer and the Lord’s benevolence.
